Managing Agent Limits in Your Mozenda Account
To ensure optimal performance and stability, Mozenda has introduced agent limits for accounts and agent groups. This guide explains what these limits are, how you’ll be notified as you approach them, and what happens if you exceed them. It’s designed for all users, including those new to Mozenda.
What Are Agent Limits?
Limits are now set on how many agents you can have in your account or within an agent group.
These limits help keep the platform fast and reliable for everyone.
Current Limits
Best Practice Recommended Limit | System Max Limit |
---|---|
2,000 agents per account | 6,000 agents per account |
1,000 agents per agent group | 3,000 agents per agent group |
Note: The system will not allow you to add more agents once you reach the max limit. Best practice is to stay well below the max for best performance.
How the Limits Work
1. Soft Warnings:
- As you approach the limit, you’ll receive warning notifications by email and in the Mozenda interface.
- These warnings help you manage your agents before hitting the cap.
2. Hard Cap:
- If you reach the maximum allowed agents, you will not be able to add more agents.
- This applies whether you’re adding agents via the Agent Builder, Web Console, or API.
- You’ll see a clear error message explaining the limit.
3. Overrides:
- Some accounts may have custom limits or temporary overrides. If this applies to you, you’ll be notified directly.
Step-by-Step: What to Do If You Approach or Hit the Limit
1. Watch for Warnings
- Check your email and Mozenda notifications for warnings about approaching the agent limit.
2. Review Your Agents
- Go to your Mozenda account dashboard.
- Review your list of agents and remove any that are no longer needed.
3. Try to Add a New Agent
- If you are under the limit, you can add agents as usual.
- If you are at the limit, you’ll see an error message and will not be able to add more agents.
4. If You Need More Agents
- Consider consolidating or deleting unused agents.
- If you have a special use case, contact Mozenda Support to discuss possible options.
