# View.AddCriteria

### Description

Adds a criteria **item** to a **view**.

### URL parameters
:::(Info) (URL parameter ordering)
The **URL parameters** below are listed in the order they should be entered in the API **URL**. 
:::

| Name        | Required | Type    | Description                                                  |
| ----------- | -------- | ------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ |
| `ViewID`    | True     | numeric | Unique identifier of the **view**.                           |
| `Operator`  | True     | string  | `Contains`, `Equals`, `EndsWith`, `DoesNotContain`, etc. See valid operators below. |
| `FieldName` | True     | string  | Name of the **field** the **criteria** is applied to.            |
| `Value`     | True     | string  | Value for the **criteria**. Value is not required for some operators, such as `Is After Today` and `Is Empty`. |
| `AndOr`     | False    | string  | Valid options are `And`, `Or`, and `None`. Default is `None` .    |
