# Use criteria to capture specific data

In addition to capturing all list items, agents can collect specific data from a list. 

In the Agent Builder:

1. Open an agent with a **Begin Item List**.
2. Right-click **Begin Item List** in the Actions List.

3. Select **Refine List**  > **REFINEMENTS** > **Conditions**.

4. Select the field you want to use in a filter. The options shown will reflect the data you are already capturing.
5. Choose the appropriate criteria from the drop-down. 
6. Add an appropriate value to the criteria.
7. Select **ADD**.
8. Select **SAVE**.

Only items matching your criteria will display in the *Captured Text Preview* window.
