Article summary

Mozenda was originally built with Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser technology at its core. Because Chromium-based browsers such as Google Chrome and Firefox have surpassed Internet Explorer usage (and Microsoft's support for it declined), Mozenda was udpated with a new, optimized Agent Builder and Web console based on the engine in Google's popular Chrome browser (Chromium).

Microsoft itself has ceased active development for Internet Explorer in favor of its Chromium-based Edge browser. Mozenda strongly recommends you migrate any agents created in the Mozenda Internet Explorer-based Agent Builder to run in the updated Chromium-based Mozenda agent builder and Web console.

Internet Explorer support

Microsoft is no longer updating Internet Explorer (except for critical security updates).

Set the Agent Builder to use Chromium

  1. Open the Agent Builder.
  2. Select File > Settings.
  3. Select Beta Browser.
  4. Click SAVE.
  5. Click RESTART NOW.

How to convert an agent to run in Chromium

  1. Open the Agent Builder.
Ensure it's running in Chromium. (See previous steps.)
  2. Open the agent you want to change.
  3. Select File > Save.

The agents will be automatically transferred to run on a Chromium.
