Assign a proxy for an agent run job

When you use Premium Harvesting, you can select the geolocation (or geographic location) or a custom proxy for your agents. This allows your agent to pull from a pool of region-specific IP addresses to get your data faster and with less detection.

Assign a proxy to an agent

In the Web Console:

  1. Select Agents > Agents.
  2. Select the name of the specific agent you want to update.
  3. Select Agent-List
  4. Select Harvesting.
  5. Under Method and Run this agent using > select Premium harvesting.
  6. Under Run this agent in > select the geolocation.

Third-party proxies are indicated by the (Custom) tag.

  1. Select SAVE.
  2. Select Ready > Run

Assign a proxy to multiple agents

In the Web Console;

  1. Select Agents> Agents.
  2. Select multiple agents you want to update.
  3. Select More > Harvesting.
  4. Select Run this agent using > Confirm harvesting type
  5. Select Run this agent in > Confirm Geolocation or custom proxy
  6. Select SAVE.

In the Web Console:

  1. Select Agents > Agents.
  2. Select the name of the specific agent you want to update.
  3. Select READY > Run with parameters
  4. Enter a job Name.
  5. In PARAMETER NAME enter ProxyPool.
  6. In PARAMETER VALUE enter the name of the proxy.

The Parameter name must be ProxyPool, and the Parameter value must match the name of the target proxy. (Case sensitive)

  1. Select ADD.
  2. Select CREATE JOB.

Assign a proxy to an agent run job in a sequence

In the Web Console:

  1. Select Sequences.
  2. Select or create the specific sequence you want to use.
  3. Select Add step.
  4. Select Run Agent.
  5. Select an agent.
  6. Select SELECT.
  7. Select Parameters.
  8. In Parameter name enterProxyPool.
  9. In Parameter value enter your "proxy pool" name.

The Parameter name must be ProxyPool, and the Parameter value must match the name of the target proxy. (Case sensitive)

  1. Select ADD
  2. Select SAVE
